• you do not have a Java-enabled browser (the latest versions of the two major browsers are Internet Exoplorer 5.5 and Netscape 6), or
• the Microsoft Virtual Machine was not loaded when you installed Internet Explorer (reload Internet Explorer using the "Custom" option and make sure the "Microsoft Virtual Machine" checkbox is ticked)
