About Us

Peter Edwards is Professor of Engineering Mathematics Education at Bournemouth University and is a UK National Teaching Fellow. Peter's web pages can be viewed here.

During the 1999 - 2000 academic session, Colin Barry helped with the creation of the applets and local Intranet web site construction during the industrial placement year of his undergraduate studies. At the conclusion of the 2000 - 2001 academic session, Colin completed Bournemouth University's B.Sc.(Hons) in Software Engineering Management gaining a 2:1 degree.

During the 2001 - 2002 session, the project was joined by Paul Edwards, on his industrial placement year from Nottingham Trent University's B.Sc.(Hons) Computer Studies course. During 2002 - 2003, Paul transferred to Bournemouth University to complete his B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Studies where he gained a First Class Honours degree. Paul continued to write some applets during 2003 - 2004 and helped to update the web page layout during this time.

For the 2003 - 2004 session, the MathinSite team was joined by Martin Brennan. Martin was also an Industrial Placement student from Bournemouth University's B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Studies degree. For 2004 - 2005, Martin completed his studies and obtained a 2:1 degree and now works as a software writer in London.

Also during 2003 - 2004, Roy Blatchford, a final year undergraduate on Bournemouth University's B.Sc. (Hons) Electronics Combined Programme, undertook as part of his assessment requirement, a project which involved writing an applet/worksheet package on z-transforms.

NOTE: The funding for this project has now finished. Further work will be done on a voluntary basis.
